Time moves along, and the Society now has updated plans for the latter part of 2021 and into 2022 – thankfully with a little more confidence that some security will return to amateur theatre activities as this year progresses.
I am pleased to announce that we will present ‘Evita’ over the period September 23 to October 2 this year in the Arts Theatre. Ticket sales will re-commence shortly, and those with tickets for the ‘Evita’ season cancelled in 2020 are assured of a roll-over to 2021. Auditions have been held, and rehearsals will commence towards the end of June. It is so pleasant to think that we might be coming to the end of the restrictions that Covid imposed. Fingers crossed!
‘Tarantara! Tarantara!’ has been re-scheduled for April 2022 and we are well advanced in the application process for our September 2022 production.
As I reported to the Annual General Meeting last week, we have coped with the Covid shut-down, and we thankfully remain in a comfortable position as we prepare to produce ‘Evita’. We look forward to your eager support when ticket sales re-commence shortly.
Thank you for your continued support.
