Some further clarity regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s activities this year has now become available.
In the original announcement (see COVID-19 Announcement tile) I wrote of a delay in the date of the Society’s Annual General Meeting. Within revised rules of the Consumer and Business Services Department this can be delayed by six months. Consequently, we will now schedule it when conditions permit but before 30 November 2020. Formal notification will be sent to all members in due course.
A decision has now been made by the Board of Management, and with support from Origin Theatrical, to postpone the staging of ‘Evita’ until the equivalent fortnight next year – September 19 – October 2 2021. Ticket holders should monitor this website for information about refunds or roll-overs of tickets already purchased for ‘Evita’.
