The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of South Australia
Volunteer
Join our team of volunteers and become part of the G&S family
The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of South Australia has a long standing history in Adelaide's theatre community, and it wouldn't be the same without our volunteers.
We've got a lot of exciting ideas on the horizon at the moment, and not quite enough hands to see them all through comfortably. So we're asking: would you like to get more involved?
It's about rolling up your sleeves in the areas that keep the Society running and our productions on their feet, with as much support as you need to build confidence and skills along the way.
Where we need help most
Fundraising: we'd love to establish a small fundraising subcommittee dedicated to bringing in the income that supports our productions, so it doesn't sit solely with the Board.
Housekeeping: the practical, ongoing tasks that keep our venues and operations ticking over.
Production support: roles like Assistant Production Manager, helping shows come together behind the scenes.
If none of those quite fit but you've got time, energy or a particular skill to offer, we still want to hear from you. There's more than one way to help.
What it involves
We want to be upfront, any volunteer role is a genuine commitment, not a token gesture. It means showing up, following through and being part of a team. But we're not expecting you to arrive with all the answers. We're eager to bring new people in and support you to develop the skills as you go.
Ready to put your hand up?
Fill out the contact form below noting your interest and any relevant experience. No experience at all is fine, enthusiasm counts.
Thinking about the Board instead?
If governance, finance or strategic oversight is more your area, let us know below as well. That's a separate conversation and we're happy to have it.
Thank you for being part of our Society. Its strength depends on members like you stepping forward.
